The Story Behind “Cynda”
CYNDA
Cynda’s name was CREATED.
CYN → Cynthia (mother + grandmother share the same name)
DA → Donald A. (Father)
Together it became CYNDA — a name completely her OWN.
She later inspired the Officer Owl & Cynda series, stories written to help children grow with trust, kindness, and STRONG character.

About the Author
I never planned to write books. I was a Texas police officer for years. In August 2022, an injury slowed everything down and for the first time, I had time to really watch my daughter Cynda grow.
I wrote the first book for my mom. When Cynda saw herself in the story, she wanted another one.
So I kept writing.
I’m a cop dad learning to be an author. These books are what happen when you finally slow down long enough to pay attention.
I believe if a child has a strong foundation of core values, the decisions are still theirs to make. But with that foundation, they have a real shot at building a mansion instead of a shack.
